Our journey began individually, years before we became a team — each of us rescuing dogs in our own communities and extending our reach whenever we could.
Driven by a shared passion for animal welfare, we came together to form The Critter Whisperers Society in Lebanon, committed to improving the lives of strays and neglected animals.
Amid Lebanon's ongoing economic, political, and security challenges over the past several years, our work has been tested again and again. But the need has only grown — and so has our resolve. We're working to transform our grassroots volunteer effort into a formal non-profit organization, so we can secure the sponsorships and partnerships needed to do more.
Today, we support local shelters like Buddha's Pack (BP) by managing their social media, organizing fundraising efforts, and facilitating international adoptions — primarily to Canada and Europe.
From emergency rescue to long-term infrastructure — here's the order in which we're building toward a more holistic system of animal welfare.
Nationwide awareness & education
Medical initiatives — vetting and TNR (trap-neuter-return)
Holistic behaviour training & education
Regulation of shelters and boarding facilities to ensure ethical, healthy care
Infrastructure development — dog parks and an animal welfare police force
Helping shelters and rescuers find suitable homes abroad for their residents
Expanding our reach to other animal species and neighbouring countries
A society with a more holistic approach to understanding and treating animals — one that fosters ethical coexistence between animals and people.
To save, protect, rehabilitate, and educate — safeguarding the lives and welfare of animals through community awareness and outreach.
Whether it's fostering, adopting, sponsoring, or spreading the word — every part of this journey needs hands on both ends.
